YEAR 5
Hi, I'm Mr. Moxon. My favourite subject is Maths, but I also love reading and PE. I lead Maths and Computing at John Bamford. In my spare time I like to go running, watch films and spend time with my daughters, especially going on holiday with them in our caravan.
My name is Miss Wilton and I am a Year 5 teacher. I have worked across Key Stage 2 at John Bamford for 10 years. When not looking after my young son, I enjoy cooking, swimming and reading. My favourite subjects are PE and Maths.
Teaching and learning in Year 5 is through a range of exciting and stimulating adventures. We encourage the children to become fully immersed in their learning and foster their growing independence and responsibility through mature programmes of study.
As part of the Year 5 adventures, children will be exploring a range of subjects, which focus on local, national and global aspects to support our vision and values.
In Year 5, children continue their learning of multiplication facts as part of their daily Maths lessons; they will be given the opportunity to practice their recall of multiplication facts up to 12 x 12 and beyond.
All Y5 children will commence swimming lessons during the Autumn term. All children will have the opportunity to learn to play the guitar and work with a local artist.
