Home and School Partnership

At The John Bamford Primary School, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is key to every child’s success. As your child’s first and most important educators, your insight and involvement are incredibly valuable. That’s why, in EYFS, we strive to welcome families into school as often as possible. Our door is always open, and we are here to talk with you about your child’s development whenever you need us.
In Nursery, staff are always available at drop‑off and collection, offering a friendly, familiar face to support both you and your child. In Reception, staff greet families on the playground each day, helping children grow in confidence and independence as they come into school. We also use Class Dojo as a communication platform, where we share news, celebrate learning, and keep you connected with daily life in EYFS.
Our Nursery team hosts regular ‘Play and Stay’ sessions, giving you the chance to enjoy learning alongside your child while discussing their progress with their Key Worker. In Reception, families are invited into school termly to share learning experiences, and we hold Parents’ Consultation Evenings to discuss your child’s achievements and next steps. At the end of the school year, you will also receive a detailed report outlining your child’s progress throughout their Early Years journey.
